Icons of many shapes and sizes
I decided to go through and collect all of the various icons that I’ve been practicing on over the last several months. (Why I’m doing this and not sleeping I don’t know–especially since I start my new rotation tomorrow and have no idea where I’m supposed to go).
I had started out making Olympic icons this year, and realized shortly that the icons that I really wanted to make were of skaters of the past. Unfortunately, all of the pictures that I could find of such skaters were of very poor quality, so these few were a bloody pain to make. And, yes, I realize that the Olympics are over, but I’m a nostalgic kind of person. If there is an interest, I have a few more pictures of the skaters that I could try to manipulate into something.
Quite a few are variations of each other–different coloring that is much more subtle once they are uploaded, different wording. Most of these are the product of late night emperimentation. You’ve been warned.
If you like any, could you let me know? Just an idea of what’s working, what should be avoided at all costs would be nice. 😀

everwoodicons to snag your Bright and Hannah icons (“adore” and “ordinary girl”), but I love the Anne ones as well, so I’m taking “enchanted evening” and “book of revelation”. I am absolute rubbish at making icons but yours are lovely.
We seem to have many similar interests, so since I’m here I’ll introduce myself: Hi, I’m Val. Currently I’m a frazzled first-year Masters student studying Canadian history. I’m also a fitness addict. I adore all things LM Montgomery and yet have not figured out how to fit her into my thesis (mainly because I don’t know what I’m writing it on yet). Falling directly below LMM on the list of things I love are The X-Files and The Lord of the Rings.
I hope you don’t mind if I add you to my friendslist. I’m fairly quiet in the LJ world but I do enjoy reading the opinions of others with similar interests.
You’re definitely added to my list. Anybody who has their LJ with titles such as “The Basement Office” and replies with a icon of one of my favorite X-Files quotes is almost automatically added to my flist. 🙂 Oh, and I’m a sucker for flattery. Welcome!
I do hope that you’re not counting “fitness addict” as being one of our similar interests. *wince* I’m working out more–did 3 pound bicep curls yesterday–but I’m still not addicted. 😉 But believe me, I take all advice and encouragement to keep me going!

The descriptions “frazzled first-year Masters student” and “fitness addict” were meant to be warnings; lately that seems to be all I talk about. And I should warn you against asking for advice and encouragement on that front too…I’m sure to give it!
