I’m apparently not a Mr. Elton kinda girl at all: only 1% of the vote.
You should all take the quiz too! It can be found here, but remember, Mr. Knightley is mine. 🙂
I celebrated finishing my applications (I’ve heard back from 8 of the 14 programs) by finally watching Cranford. Overall I enjoyed it a lot, although I’m starting to see why people compare Elizabeth Gaskell with Dickens. It’s available on PBS until Jan 10th, if anyone is interested. The Return to Cranford christmas special will be playing on your local PBS station the next two Sundays.

And after all that, I think I can sit back for a little while and wait for the invitations. What a relief!
And a big thank you to all of you for your support and words of encouragement. When I’m overwhelmed, I don’t get a chance to respond, but I really appreciated your suggestions.
For Christmas, my sister and I made National Park quilts for my parents, sister and brother-in-law, and niblings. 6 of them were small lap quilts, with a simple print, batting, and a backing that we sewed. The last was a queen size quilt for my sister’s camping trailer – it was a challenge putting it […]
