the lackluster end of an era

The paper, my friends, is finished. It wasn’t a pretty paper–I rambled too much towards the end to get it to the page requirements, but at this point, I don’t care. It’s done and that’s what’s important.
This means that I have successfully just completed medical school. I wish I had a functioning brain cell left to celebrate.

So, was that time stamp correct – you finished at 3 a.m.? Even if no, for someone who just had surgery – you have amazing stamina. Definitely doctor material. 🙂 Congrats.
I submitted the paper at 3:15, so yep, the time was correct. I actually do pretty well, until around 4-5 in the morning, worse if I get 45-60 minutes of sleep after midnight, so I’m pretty lousy in the mornings after late nights like this, but one gets used to them.
But then, I’m talking to my friend who goes to bed by 9 every night. 🙂

Isn’t the worn-out-but-done feeling one of the best in the world?
As is typical of my life–I never feel done. I still have other projects not related to med school that I have to complete, but it is a nice feeling to be able to check one more thing off the list.
