It’s the same pose. The same hand pose as Rory and Jess’s first kiss as a couple. The same freaking one!!! I think that’s what’s burning me the most, even more than the sickening “My Dean” comment and the suggestions that they’re sleeping together. With DEAN.

I don’t think I’m even watching the finale, not to mention next year. Not even the sweet Java Junkie fluff could tempt me. And I want their ratings to go DOWN. Bastards. The whole bunch of them.

It’s going to be a while before I remember how much I really did love this episode.

If she sleeps with him, I’m not watching anymore.

She stopped loving Dean (fell out of love with him) and left him for Jess.

I understand her no longer loving Jess, but Dean??

    She better just be lonely.

    It makes no logical sense.

    I’ll watch for L/L. Otherwise, I’m done.

It doesn’t even make sense that she’s lonely. I’ve been lonely, numerous times, and you don’t see me jumping into bed with all my married friends.

It’s pointless, it’s stupid, it’s immature. It’s not the show I fell in love with. I thought Dean was pathetic, but Rory has just taken the crown. I don’t want ASP’s Rory to end up with Jess… she doesn’t deserve him.

I feel betrayed. I’ve seen the eppy three times now… had to rewatch it when the roommates came home. And it hasn’t gotten better. Which is just sad because it was one of my favorites of the season until the last 30 seconds… I still get watery during the last conversation between Luke and Jess; it was so beautiful and so well acted and…

My roommate Liz doesn’t understand why I’m so upset. She thinks it’s just because Rory and Jess didn’t go off in a beautiful sunset. He’s a ten-year-old in a 20 year old body, according to her and obviously not ready for a romance, and she’s glad Rory gave him the heave-ho. And it’s not that at all. Sure, I despise Rory for treating him like that, for being so cold and heartless and a complete jerk. But this is just… no logical sense. Nothing. There’s no passion there, there hasn’t been since the first season, and that wasn’t passion, that was affection and rather bland at that.

I stayed up much of last night watching the first season, and I was so full of ideas of stories and ideas. I remembered why I loved GG so much–the witty dialogue, the rich characters. I thought about writing short stories about how every one came to Stars Hollow, just snapshots. I’ve had a whole line of drabbles about Jess and Luke–Luke remembering him as a kid and never knowing how to act around him, another couple of both of their viewpoints about being failures. They’ve been running through my head all week, I’ve just been playing with different phrases and wordings to get it to be just right.

And now, I think my muse has been poisoned. And that I hate more than anything. You know, it was okay that the show didn’t turn out Literati, Amy, I get that you can’t stand to have your characters happy, but did you have rip our hearts out, trample on them, and then kick them so they slithered down the wall into the trash?? Boy, I sure hope that the pay is worth treating your loyal fans like this. I feel like I’ve been cheated on, cheap and dirty.

I am done. I’m not watching next week. I’ll be taping it for my sister and then next year… wow, i won’t even regret having to work and miss it. Darn.

        I feel betrayed too.

I find it hard to believe that Rory doesn’t care enough for Jess (even as a friend) to want to hurt him that much. Or not even that… That’d she’d still love Dean after all that.

Not only is it wrong for her to get involved with Dean, but painting what has happened with her and Jess as a mistake??? That’s just unfair. Because it’s not even logical.

I wonder if ASP knows how many dedicated fans she’s lost. Because, seriously, I tuned in every week, I went online and talked about it, I taped the episodes, I memorized lines. And I never want to watch this show again. I want to forget it ever existed because the feeling I get from it is being let down.

I think I might watch next week to see what happens. I’d kinda rather just hear about it though.

I have nothing to watch for next year. I’m sure L/L won’t work out and even if they did, it’d have to be amazing to get me to watch.

        Rory doesn’t deserve Jess.

What motivation does a person have to become a better person if they try only to have them slammed down (Not even let down)???

I didn’t watch it all since the WB affil in Milwaukee had a wonky transmitter all night (three minutes on the air, four off the air, rinse and repeat through the hour), but rest assured Julia, even though I’m not a Lit, I’ve very anti-Narc, and the way they treated all of you devoted fans tonight was total bullshit. I will be tuning out next week when all that crap goes down, because this isn’t ASP Rory. The Rory we’re seeing is mandated by WB to go through this crappy adultery plot! I refuse to believe this, and just like Jess’ attitude post-dance marathon, this is the point where Rory changes and I won’t believe a thing the writers say through her mouth after this, I’ll be keeping the image of pre-tonight Rory in my stories and my mind forever (God I hope all this crap about them having sex is wrong, wrong, wrong!).

They had an opportunity for closure tonight. They fucked it up, big time. The real end of that episode for me, will always be Jess saying thanks to Luke for his concern. Not the WB-mandated crap force-fed down our throats after 7:53 to make us believe that Rory/Dean is a ‘dramatic’ and ‘hot’ relationship.

Adultery is not hot. I’ve even broken Rory and Dean up in my slash because I can’t see Paris going for it with someone who’s together with someone already. Lindsay needs to break up with Dean, Rory needs to shut him out and send him back to shame all the way to Illinois, and I don’t want to see him around here again. The entire fandom is opposed to this, and I’m scared that this will assure that S5 will be the last season.

In short; those first parts of 50 minutes I watched? Gold? The last six? Iron pirate, plain and simple, we’ve been robbed, GG fans and Lit fans.

    • 2025 – Quilts! 01/07/2026
For Christmas, my sister and I made National Park quilts for my parents, sister and brother-in-law, and niblings. 6 of them were small lap quilts, with a simple print, batting, and a backing that we sewed. The last was a queen size quilt for my sister’s camping trailer – it was a challenge putting it […]
